Complete tour in the Sassi of Matera (Caveoso and Barisano) and in the historic center with entrance fees included in the rock sites.

During the guided tour we will visit the typically furnished cave house and the rock church carved into the rock on 3 levels.

The Sassi of Matera, already declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1993 and the European Capital of Culture in 2019, are divided into two areas, Barisano and Caveoso, which offer breathtaking views and panoramas due to their different architecture and the millenary history that characterizes them.

The tour starts from the central square of the city of Matera with a beautiful panoramic view of the Sassi. The ascent towards the Civita and the Cathedral which dominates the city from above will give unique emotions.

The walk ends in the heart of Sasso Caveoso with its picturesque caves and the various locations of films dedicated to Jesus: from the Gospel according to Matthew by Pier Paolo Pasolini to The Passion by Mel Gibson and the electrifying 007 NO TIME TO DIE
